Why

Over the last decade, I've watched as the supply of good used parts for our hobby diminish drastically. I believe the biggest contributing factor was the incredible rise in scrap metal prices along with the economic recession of the late 2000's. During this time, people actively scouted old metal and particularly cars since their weight guaranteed a large scrap check. In years past, a rusty 1971 Maverick with no motor or trans could be bought for parts for $150 bucks. Now that same car, if you can find one, will cost you 700+. This is partly because there's no central source to advertise these items, giving the impression that there aren't many left. I believe there are a lot more cars out there that can be saved, we just need to organize a central location to locate these cars. That's where KyClassics comes in. We can help the collector or rebuilder find the cars they're looking for and the potential scrapper make a little more $$$ than the scrap yards would pay. Please forward friends and colleagues to this site. Together we can save our hobby.

Please check out my other car related sites; most are still under development. If you'd like to own one of these site just let me know, I 'm always looking to reduce my workload.
